Spam Warning!

Hello everyone

I am making this article to warm everyone around DA that there is some sort of spam going around.

I know that someone has already made previous articles with this kind of warming, but i think another one can't hurt.


If you are not sure what i am talking about, then read this!

What does this "spam" you are talking about, say?
Well to make this short and clear, its basically a comment on your deviantart page, that says the following:
• " hey i thouight this iQ quiz was cool. i just took mine!! CLICK HERE "
  
  
  • " Hey. this person wrote something about you in their blog.. CLICK HERE "
    
    
    • " hey! check this out! I just saw who my Secret VALENTINE WAS !! it really works.. see who your VALENTINE is just CLICK HERE "
  </b>

These are just some of the once that i have gotten.
I am more then sure that they will change with every day, and person.

I am afraid that someone smart, with too much time on their hands did this because they think its funny. Well, i hope we can stop them, and let them know otherwise!

Please spread the word around DA, and worm people about this nasty *ss stuff that's going around.

Also, if you think that this article has no meaning and you would like to report it b/c its useless... well i hope you won't, b/c the more warning we send out, the safer everyone will be

Well, what can i do about it?
• Check your Recent Activity and make sure that you have not send out any comments, that you don't remember making.
  
  
  • If you indeed have been hacked, then change your password as soon as possible. I am no computer genius, but this is something you have to do, if so has happened to you.
    
    
    • Flag all those comments as Spam. Make sure you actually report them, and don't just hide them.
    
    
    
    • Do not ever open the "CLICK HERE" link that they send you. I did not take that risk for my self, but i have heard that the link is nasty. And most likely might give you some virus or spyware.
      
      Who can be a victim?
      
      
      • Honestly.. anyone. I have not been a victim of this stupidity yet, but truly anyone can be, even your closest friends
        
        
        • If you see someone you know, or just anyone on DA, send these kinds of messages to you, note them and let them know about what has happened. If they don't believe you, although i strongly doubt that they will resist, just send them the link with the comment.
          
          
          • After you notify the person, let them know about that they should, and shouldn't do
            
            
            I hope this article has helped some of you. If it hasn't helped you, then i hope in the future you will not have to use it. But just in case, keep it in mind
